Welcome to Shy Violet Photography – Specialists in Newborn and Baby Photoraphy since 2006.
Our newborn photoshoots, so we’ve been told, are a lovely experience … you as the parents are fully involved and at the start of your photoshoot we chat about what you’d like from your newborn photo session. You have the options of the Newborn Art images …and the natural shots too without props and elaborate backdrops. We can do both as one Photoshoot if you would like a bit of both. Capturing your newborn baby at the very early stages is not only exceptionally cute, but it also allows for deeper sleeps after feeding, meaning that we can get them into the curled up sleepy shots we all love. Our favourite time to capture them is betwen 6 and 12 days… and we do say up to 4 weeks for the newborn photoshoot. Although we have had some wonderful results with babies over 4 weeks, who were perhaps born early and are still sleeping well after feeds … so if this is your baby, please get in touch.
If you have not yet had your baby, we do reccommend that you book in for your Newborn Baby Photoshoot based on your due date and then if this changes, we move your Newborn shoot date. You do not lose your deposit if we do have to rearrange. It’s always best to book in advance to secure your 2-3 hours slot. Our Newborn baby photo shoots are very relaxed – you will not be kept waiting – you will be straight in and we make you a brew and we can have a chat about what you’d like from your photo session. Our studio is designed to make you feel relaxed and comfortable with lots of soft seating – and also offer chairs next to the newborn shoot area so that you can be and feel involved all the time.
Following your Newborn baby photoshoot with Shy Violet Photography, a Gallery of images will be online for 3 weeks on our Customer Only GALLERY website where you will be able to view your images in the privacy of your own home, and as many times as you like.
