The 1st birthday cake smash is just the best and most fun way to celebrate your little one’s milestone 1st Birthdayt
At ‘One’ your baby is full of wonder at everything and very often it’s the first cake they’ve ever tasted … let alone be allowed to smash up and sit on. Jax loved his cake smash and the tub and bubbles at the end.
My customer asked me if I could do an ‘Under the Sea’ themed cake smash … I had the backdrop, balloons and pompoms and my customer bought all Jax’s sea life cuddly toys as you will see in pics below … it made for a very cute and colourful cake smash photoshoot.

I call my cake smash photoshoots my 3-in-1 HAPPIMESS Shoot as it includes 3 shoots as 1 – the ONE wooden letters, the cake smash followed by the Tub /Splash photoshoot.
I’ve been cake smashing since 2010 … and am always looking for new ideas. I’d like to introduce my brand NEW Woodland Themed Cake Smash. With our new and huge Log Cake :). I had great fun designing this woodland theme and have used hoops again as the floral hoops for the girls has been such a big cake smash hit. See pics below of Joseph having a brilliant time and loving his log cake 🙂

I introduced the Floral Hoops theme in 2022 and it’s become increasingly popular … it beautiful, fun and very pretty … the Naked Cake goes very well with this theme and can be purchased for this shoot at just £15.00 in addition to a package (cake is included in some package options – see link below.

I have had the priviledge of photographing lots of newborn babies over the last 18 years ….and have created www.tinyvioletsphotography.co.uk dedicated to newborn photography.
And in additon to lots of experience, I have also collected lots of outfits, props and accessories all available for you to choose at no additonal cost (package options published under Pricing on this webiste).

I have a fabulous warm, light and airy studio which is very baby and child friendly and where you will feel immediately at ease – lots of soft seating, soft toys, rugs and refreshments. click here to take you to a short video of our studio.
My favourite time to capture your newborn baby is between 6 and 12 days … and I am happy to go to 4 weeks. The 4 week rule is not set in stone, but newborn babies are so much more alert at this time and it’s not so easy to get the sleepy curled up shots we all love if they are not asleep. If you baby was born early and still sleeping soundly and deeply after feeds then the 4 week rule may not apply.

A baby’s 6 month photoshoot … often called the Sitter as a lot of babies are starting to sit up themselves and many unaided.
I absolutely love the 5 to 6 months for your baby photoshoot; your baby is learning to sit up and although perhaps not able to sit up unaided, we have baby chairs that can help with this, and PhotoShop which can edit out parents’ arms making sure they don’t fall. And at this age, their personality is really shining through and it’s an age I just so enjoy photographing.
My studio baby photo sessions are very relaxed in a lovely warm, bright and airy environment, specially designed so that it looks like a soft play area for your baby – soft toys and props are on show in the studio so you have lots of choice for your photoshoot. And you are welcome to bring along your fur babies / dogs too if you wish.
On arrival, we discuss the shots that you’d like before we start. I have various backdrops that you can choose from too, many of which can be seen in the gallery of images – to view please Click here. Our Newborn Photo Shoots go up to 4 weeks but our favourite time to capture your newborn is between 6 and 12 days.
If you baby has been born early then the 4 week rule may not apply … and also if your baby is still sleeping well after feeds it still might not be too late after the 4 week threshold. You can always all me to discuss.
