Best time for your Newborn Photoshoot
Between 6 and 12 days old is a fabulous time for your newborn photoshoot … Your little newborn is still very sleepy and perfect for the adorable curled up shots. After 2 weeks your little one becomes slightly more altert but I find that up to 4 weeks is still a great time for the photoshoot. After 4 weeks, most newborn babies are now quite a bit more altert and do not seem to sleep as deeply after feeds.
You are welcome to book in advance based on your due date, very very often this date changes and it’s no problem to change your booking if baby is born early or late. You pay a deposit on booking and you do not lose this if the date is changed. And if your baby has already arrived and you feel you must have photos, then please call me on 07810 533533 to discuss availability.

I have been photographing newborn babies for over 20 years and I love it as much now as I’ve always done. My very favourite time to capture your newborn baby is between 6 and 12 days … this being the very best time to capture those adorable curled up sleepy shots we all love. I also happily go to 4 weeks although the photoshoot can be a little longer if your newborn baby is a little more alert at this time.
You can book in advance to secure a slot, but don’t think it’s too late if baby has arrived and you’ve just decided you must have photos. Always give me a call on 07810 533533 to check availability.

I never get over the awe of a newborn little one and how teeney tiny they are – I treat all with tremendous care and thought throughout the photoshoot and allow alot of time for cuddles and soothing / feeding. My very favourite time to capture your newborn baby is between 6 and 14 days, during this stage they are still sleeping soundly for those adorable curly sleepy shots we all love. I am happy to go to up to 4 weeks and if you feel your newborn is still sleeping soundly after feeds after this time, then please do get in touch. We allow much time for cuddling and feeding during our newborn photo shoots.

Our studio is very warm, light and airy, and with lots of soft seating, soft toys, rugs and refreshments you will feel immediatey at ease.
We are based in Springhead, Oldham, OL4 5TB click here to take you to a short video of our studio. The studio is on the first floor of the building so there are steps up. It doesn’t mean you can’t bring a pram … with a bit of effort we can get it up the stairs.
We cater for all Newborn image options and have 4 galleries on the website showing you our style … from the very natural white/ivory images with little to no props, to the more creative composite images called ‘Swings and Things’ – You will find Galleries on the Top Tabs on the website – then choose one to view.
Our Newborn Photo Shoots go up to 4 weeks with our favourite time to capture your newborn being between 6 and 12 days.
If you baby has been born early then the 4 week rule may not apply … and also if your baby is still sleeping well after feeds it still might not be too late after the 4 week threshold. You can always all me to discuss. We only say up to 4 weeks old, as newborn babies are so much more alert at this time and it’s not so easy to get the sleepy curled up shots we all love if they are not asleep.

Family and siblings are very welcome as our your furry friends … all family shots in a newborn photoshoot are done on a mini backdrop so it’s really just parents, brothers and sisters to get you all on the backdrop comfortably.
I love the natural shots, the pure white shots and I also love the more creative side. New for February 2025 you will see below some new creative composite shots, on offer to you in ALL package options at no extra charge.

Saying this, I am happy to go to 4 weeks, although after 2 weeks, I find newborns to be much more alert but the photo shoot is still very doable.
My studio is very welcoming – full of soft seating, soft toys and colour … but more importantly I keep your little one very warm and cosy during the photoshoot so don’t worry about them being cold. I do ask that you bring a blanket for your newborn baby but we also have plenty at the studio if needs be. The studio is in Springhead, Oldham, OL4.

The 1st birthday cake smash is still one of the best fun ways to celebrate your little one’s milestone 1st birthday.
I call my cake smash photoshoots my 3-in-1 HAPPIMESS Shoot as it includes 3 shoots as 1 – the ONE wooden letters, the cake smash followed by the Tub /Splash photoshoot. And I love mess … the messier the better!
The Woodland theme is very popular and I supply all the props and have a couple of outfits you can borrow too. You can also order one of our standard cakes The chocolate log cake is fantastic for this shoot (Made by a cake maker) … but you are also welcome to bring your own cake to the photoshoot.

HalfWay to One Photoshoot
Becoming increasingly popular is the Halfway to One Photoshoot – the 6 months milestone.
It’s such a wonderful time for your baby’s photoshoot capturing their development … and it’s a real smiley, giggly time when personality is really shining through. A really lovely time for a photo shoot and one of my favourite shoots.
Your baby is learning to sit up at this 6 months stage … but don’t worry if your baby hasn’t quite managed it yet, we have lots of baby chairs and rockers to help and also arms of parents can easily be edited out to stop them from falling backwards (or sideways).
Our studio is a lovely warm, bright and airy space, specially designed so that it looks like a soft play area for your baby – soft toys and props are on show in the studio so you have lots of choice for your photoshoot. And you are welcome to bring along any props you’d like involved … and of course your pets too if you wish.
On arrival, we discuss the shots that you’d like before we start. I have various backdrops that you can choose from too, many of which can be seen in the gallery of images – to view please Click here. I have a few outfits we can use and many many props, I have toys to make them giggle and laugh … but you are welcome to bring their favourites to encourage their best smiles.

Following each shoot, a gallery of images is uploaded to my gallery only website for you and from here you can choose your favourites – the gallery stays on for 3 weeks so you can revisit as many times as you like and offer viewing to extended family too.
